DVLA revoked License

Got type 2 since 2010 and on Insulin (low dose twice daily) and slow release metformin
Never had a hypo/hyper so never felt unwell with diabetes.

Informed the DVLA of this a few weeks ago (yes should have done before) and have now received a letter saying my eyesight is not meeting standard follwong investigations and they have revoked my driving license.

The thing is my eyesight is ok (with glasses recommended for driving 2 years ago) although I have very slight retinopathy in one eye which was diagnosed 1 year ago but this has not affected my vision. In fact my eyesight is better now than it was over 10 years ago before I had diabetes and laser correction.

Anyone got any ideas on what I can do?

How stupid do I feel, I complete the medical declaration wrong and ticked the box "Has your doctor or optician advised you that your eyesight does not currently meet the minimum standard for driving? "

The DVLA accept this was a genuine mistake and I need to fill out a form which they are sending and they will reinstate my licence. Just cannot drive now until it is sorted.
