Hi, like Joy1988 I’ve just been through the same process! I like you have both diabetes and macolopathy. Got the 11 month extension then - waited and waited then started ringing (several times a day) not to get through (Dec 22) to be told they’d sent me an additional form to complete. I completed, returned by registered mail. Completed and sent back only to finally get a request for a new photo which was only 6yr old? I received my licence 5 months later late May22! After contact with my local MP! it’s a nightmare but they only dated it for 2yr having withdrawn VED Road tax back in Dec 21! & not allowed to drive until late May 22! One week later £17 for the photo was returned. Owing to the security aspect of the job many staff could not WFH. I’m sorry but there appears to be no Business Continuity with or without COVID-19.
