I have type 2 diabetes surprise surprise. I now take gliklicides and metformin (and of course the good old stattin)
After 6 months treatment for DVT with Warfarin and regular blood tests I settled into a routine and my glucose numbers reduced to a very satisfactory level.
Further tests revealed I had low vitamin D levels so more tablets.
My Lichen Planus returned so itchy legs. However further tests revealed not LP but Eczema put down to Varicose insufficiency so more medication and moisturizer.
I know I have to suffer but it is very wearing and sleepless nights are not helping.
Can anybody suggest anything that would make my life a little more bearable?

Statins are known to have side effects.

What are your bg readings like? What do you usually eat?

What dose of vitamin D are you on?

My eczema is weather dependent so if it's too hot or cold or if I'm stressed. Diet seems to play a part too. I eat lchf and my body is a lot happier since I made that change. Why do you take statins? If you must take them then ask for some new ones as Totto says it could be side effects. Have a read of
Www.dietdoctor.com this website was a life changer for me.

Sleepless nights are a known statin side effect, the other two to look out for, because it doesn't affect everyone and dosage may also play a part, are muscle pain (particularly legs) and brain fog (poor memory etc).
I put up with all three for far too long. Until I lowered the amount of carb in my diet to about 80gms a day. I was able to stop Gliclazide, Januvia and Atorvastatin.
