Hello everyone, I have been type 2, and for the past two and a half years type 1 / 1.5 late onset , all in all 23 years. During my time as an assumed type two diabetic I spent years on Aspirin and very high doses of Metformin and Gliclazide, to which I thought I could tolerate the side effects.
I am wondering if anyone is familiar with Diabetic dyspepsia, and if they can shed any light on the subject through there own research / findings.I have been put on PPI meds, along with a statin (past 12 mths) and my two insulins. I am 64 yers old.
A friend of mine has been type1 for 49 yrs, and cannot function without daily PPI treatment, is anyone living in a similar situation, it would be interesting to know.

PPIs are a very commonly prescribed medication. Not something I take myself.

in going from T2 to T1, did you have any additional testing for that, or was it your progression to insulin that led to the change?
