Im pre diabetic and getting my BS into the 5s so today I had some home made chips for a treat. Two hours after it went up to nine, does that mean I shouldn't eat them anymore?

Hey Maddie!

Try a smaller portion. You don't really want to see 9s on your meter

nah, just means you shouldn't have so many though.

we in the Cooke household now have oven roasted Sweet Potato chips... peel and cut them into chunky chips/wedges, coat them with olive oil and herbs, spread them on a non-stick tray and then pop in to a fan oven to bake at 200 deg C for as long as required. Not as firm as real chips, but far better on my BG levels... Just don't try and turn them over half-way through, they tend to come apart...

MW does great chips made from courgettes coated in parmesan cheese ... lovely. Like others have said though just eat a few less to end up under 8ish on your meter. Unfortunately for me less is 5 average sized chips
