Eating guided by bs

I recently did a post asking why type 2 is routinely listed as a cause of death when it's really other things.
I lost a relative to brain tumour. They also had blood cancer, heart failure and high blood pressure. All serious and life threatening, yet the second cause was listed as T2 which they'd only had a couple of years and with not too bad bg numbers.
Reading the responses my conclusion is T2 is listed if we've ever been diagnosed, irrespective whether it was an actual cause of the death.

What "complications" does your friend have?

Needs a kidney

Hi - Just wanted to say I am poorly controlled (T2) and have decided I need to take control. I have just tried the free trial of Libre 2 sensor. My thinking behind this is that if I can see the real time BG levels it might stop me from eating poorly and, wow, it has done just that. So I'm sort of doing what you are - eating to my numbers, but not a specific number, just if the BG is in the 'normal' range and its a meal time I will eat. Yesterday my levels were in the normal range all day whereas when I started they were all above it. Seeing the levels go down is quite a buzz and give you the impetus to not eat that cake or biscuit! You say you dont have any food choices - is that because you area fussy eater? I am so fussy its unbelievable, so I'm just eating things I like but trying to keep down the carbs. I'm wondering if a Libre 2 or similar monitoring system would be helpful to you too?

I have alot of food intolerances.
So it limits my choices plus no teeth. Plus a low income.

Your idea sounds good.
A range rather than a number.

I have a Libre 2 and regular metre-- freestyle lite.

No more sweet potatoes.
15 with a going up arrow.
Idc how healthy they are or how cheap I can get them.
Plus I have an awful stomach ache.
I can take some insulin to lower that number but I dont need the side effects. It's very painful to get the feet cramps and I can't get them undone very well.
