I live in Coventry and my daughter has type 1. i really need to get on a education course to get a grip of her hypers, i tried dafne and they said they could not help as she is to young, but im the the that needs help to help her.the support you get is a joke!
I was young when I was diagnosed and I know it was hard for my parents to get to grips with hypos, hypers, injections, correction doses and everythig else. They were offered a place on an NHS- run grouper parents of children with diabetes. I don't know the name and my mum's memory is not what is used to be - she can barely remember I have diabetes, never mind the name of the course.
Did anybody else on this forum have something like this when they were younger? Not sure if it was just a regional thing. This was pre-Internet! Internet might be a good, if not better, option thesedays.
