Hi I'm a little confused about this dawn thingy as well as most morning I have a reading of say 5.7 at say 7am But we don't eat until 10 am so before the meal it's about 6.4 and 2 and even 3 hours later it.s still in the 6 sometimes 7.2. Low carb so mostly bacon and eggs, mushrooms. Sometimes scrambled or poached. Eat Breakfast and night time meal.Sometimes i wonder if I'm eating enough but I'm rarely hungry. Bit confusing.
It doesn;t work like that. Carbs get converted directly into glucose, so although there might be a small chance that a carb increase may trigger more amylase enzyme leading to increased insulin production, this will NOT compensate for the insulin resistance, so would lead to higher bgl.
Every one need around 0.8 grams of protein pro every kg of lean body mass this means if your ideal body weight is like 58 kg , you would need around 58- 68 grams of protein daily , and a bit more of you body build
I only weigh 42.5 and need to put on weight while keeping BGs low surely I would need more protein to keep a balance with my high fat intake .Anyone any ideas ?

how about a lot of cheese sticks, but do remember that proteins eaten in excess can be transformed into blood glucose if your body really is not in the need of them
