Endo

Your endocrine system is all the parts of your body that produce hormones, for example your thyroid, your pituitary gland and your pancreas. People on the forum often discuss seeing their endocrinologist, or specialist in diabetes, a condition which affects production of the hormone insulin.

Interesting, I never knew it was a specialist of all hormone producing organs.

Nope not another meaning for diabetes, the endocrine system simply refers to the entire system in the body of hormone producing glands that self regulates.

Diabetes only is in direct reference to the pancreas which either no longer secretes insulin or it's ability to is impaired causing elevated blood glucose.

It gets more complex if you read into endicrinology.
