Hi, My son has been a T1 diabetic for 7 years now. He is 20 and a year ago his liver enlarged 7 times the normal size. Needless to say he ended up in Hospital in encredible pain. After 3 days we were told it is due to a reaction to his Insulin, as the liver it self is still functioning normally and has no fatty deposites. The doctors cut his Insulin by half (he is allways hungary or high now) which brought it down slightly, so now it sits just under his ribs. (He has a large ribcage, thankful for small mercies) They are monitering him every 3 months but nothing has changed. He is extremly skinny, but looks 8 months pregnant. He has been back to hospital 6 times @ 4 or 5 days each times in the last 6 months. He can't work or play any sports so is getting very depressed. Any comments would help. Thank you.
