I printed the story of Ernest Sterzer. It is incredible that he survived. I don't think many diabetics would survive in the holocaust.
It was a combination of luck and creative thinking. I think it would make a great movie.
As for Banting and Best, it must be recognized that stood on the shoulders of so previous scientists, but they are the heroes of Insulin use. I think CBC may have made a movie of their life. We would be in a very sorry state without them today, as it is very difficult to live long with diabetes and no treatment.
