Hi everyone; new to the forum and excited about what I'm reading. My glucose readings are very erratic (400's to 60-70s). Don't always eat what I should and have a big appetite. Need lots of encouragement - HELP!!!!!
Just a couple of questions before launching into advice. Are you taking any medication for your type 2? Do the erratic readings follow a pattern - i.e, can you attribute them to your ‘not always eating what I should’ or having a ‘big appetite’? Or are they a bit of a mystery?
The answers to those questions will help people give appropriate advice, but in general there’s no need to starve yourself or under eat in order to manage your type 2 or (if needed) lose weight. If you eat the right things - generally those low in carbohydrates - and reduce the number of occasions on which you eat (i.e. sticking to filling meals and avoiding snacks), you can eat to satiety and enjoy stable blood glucose levels.
