Esther Course for T2

Hi everyone, I was with my Diabetes Nurse this morning and she is referring me to do an Esther course

I have tried to find out more about this course on this site but all I can find is this...

"These courses include DAFNE and Bertie for type 1 diabetes, and DESMOND andXPERT for type 2 diabetes."

Has anyone done an Esther course and can you tell me about it or point me in the direction of a link please

Expert courses are for Type2s. and vary depending on how your diabetes is being treated.

Thanks @catherinecherub but its an Esther course I've been referred to - is that the same thing ?

In some areas the course is referred to by a different name.
Many moons ago I did a local course that was identical to an EXPERT one but did not have a title.
You could try looking up ESTHER Type2 diabetes and adding your geographical location.

See this..


"The structured education programmes we provide for adult patients diagnosed with diabetes are ESTER (East Sussex Type 2 Education for Real Life) and SADIE (Skills for Adjusting Diet and Insulin in East Sussex)."

I had to put "esther type 2 diabetes course" into google to find it.

Its weird that if you put in the correct spelling it doesn't come up..thankfully my typing is rubbish so it worked...
