Evading temptation

That's the trouble Hana, we all enjoy bread and find it hard to give up. I still enjoy eating bread, burgen soya and linseed everytime, although I have only 2 slices a day max.

I love home-made bread too. Husband's been buying Morrisons rolls ever since I ditched bread, though I've said I'll make it as before. I think he feels guilty - but not enough to stop eating them at lunchtime! Just occasionally it smells too good and I feel I'd like to put him out with the birds but mostly I cope cos I know the consequences of eating it.

I've also found it detracts from nipping off for the day - I used to just call in at a bakery, grab a roll and (if walking) a bottle of wine, and there was my impromptu munchies if the sun shone suddenly. It was "spur of the moment" stuff which I prefer. Now I have to make sure I have suitable food and also a cooler - and really I wonder what this summer will bring. (Last July/August I had too much to worry about, just starting this business.)

Probably lots of rain, as per... :roll: Summer seems to start and end in April these days....Global warming my eye!

DG I second Hana's suggestion as that is what I normally go for!

As for evading temptation I pass my temptations around frantically to make sure all is eaten and gone in very short order as things have always 'called' to me. :roll:

Since low carbing their voices are very muted nawadays fortunately. I nibbled a corner of my husband's biscuit but it was revoltingly sweet and I was very pleased about that as it put me right off. 8)

She is dropped off by Daddy in time for Grandma to give her breakfast. I had a couple of ciabatta rolls for her. So roll and honey for breakfast.
At the end of the day, There was half a roll left in the kitchen, talking to me.

I also have an Amelie... I could send her round & the 2 A's could eat all the rolls so no temptation left! x

Thanks Hana, good suggestion. Can I ask how you keep it cool or do you just do fingers crossed?? It's the meat I tend to worry about! On the day I'm in school all day, I just put what I want in a small container in a small cool bag and stick a tiny ice pack in with it which keeps it fine till lunch time. I'm not bothered about how nuts and cheese fare, just meat. What's the trick? But it still needs more planning than nipping out and taking what I find!
