Well was back at GP today but notes hadn't came through from hospital so had to do another urine test and lo and behold still showing ketones so sent back to the hospital. Upshot is I've been started on Metformin and to follow up with GP again.
Metformin seems to be ok and apart from a dodgy tummy on the first couple of days, I've not had too bad a time with side effects. Bloods to be checked tomorrow and appt with practice nurse in a fortnight. Fingers crossed all is well
Check up today went reasonably well. HbA1c down to 87 from 94 so heading in the right direction. Cholesterol down from 5.5 to 5.2 and weight down by 4 pounds. I guess that's not too bad after a month but still some way to go. Metformin increased to 3 times per day and started on simvastatin and back again in 12 weeks - hope there is good news to report
There's nothing worth than diet, exercise and medicines, if you feel so tired maybe you had neglected one of these important things due to daily routine or something which worried you. You should take a deep breathe from time to time, do some relaxation.
