I did have a period like that myself when I was on diet control only years back. What happened is I wound up with my highest hbA1c reading ever at 9.2% and that shocked me into making sure I take control and stop slacking off. It was about that time I started the lchf diet too. I did that for about a year but had to come off it. As time has progressed I have had to change my diet because of another condition. I've been pulled on and off meds that impact my sugar levels. I've had multiple infections, etc that impact my sugar levels also. What I'm saying here is there will always be something to force you to take stock and take control of things with your sugar level... but never give up no matter what. Yes, you may fall off the wagon sometimes, but you just pick yourself up and get right back on it. If things don't work, just try adjusting things until they do. One thing I find that helps is keeping a diary about what you're eating, how much exercise, what your sugar levels are... and this tends to help you keep focused and see where you may be tripping up as well. I wish you the best.
