Eye check up

Currently at the hospital, just a routine annual pic of my eyes. My 3rd one. Currently clinic running 25 mins late. Better than 1 hour behind last year. Shouldn't be any problems

You should take advantage of the dilated pupils for some scary halloween stuff :shock:

Hi brett I hope your eye test went well and there are no problems.

My first follow up post Op eye appointment was 2 hours late :shock: my appointment was for 10.45am and I eventually got in to see the doctor at 12.50pm and the appointment took about 5 to 7 minutes. My 2nd follow up appointment is on Tuesday 5th November at 3.45pm, so I have to get someone to look after my daughter and I will have to travel back in the dark from Southampton, on the bus, then a train and then a walk, goodness only knows when I will get home , I'm dreading it

RRB ps I had a blood test this morning and have a nice little bruise on my arm :lol: just right for Halloween.

Trust all was fine Brett

The clinic do have a tendency to run late, often the Ophthalmologists are called away to treat emergency admissions, last two appointments I've been in and out in half an hour but there has been times where I've waited 2-3 hours.

You have a third eye?!!? :shock: well it comes in handy on day like today I suppose :wink:

Haha no just two eyes, and my third screening lol

Yeah all went fine thanks, should have results in 4~6 weeks.

How long do you have to wait for eye retinopathy tests I've never had one! I was given an appointment in august but had to cancel because I was away on holiday in Italy so I rang them and asked me when I would be back I told them but have not heard a thing.....
But Brett I'm pleased all ok ! Did you wait long?
 
If you have never had one.get.a referral from your gp asap. Once in the system should have them annually as long as all is ok.
No not long, once I got called had a quick eye test, reading letters of a board, drops put in to dilate pupils, wait 15\20 mins for pupils to get like golf balls, then get called for someone to take pics of the back of the eye whilst you play a little game of follow the red dot so your eye is in different positions for the pics.

My dn did do a referral when I last went for my check ups but have not heard anything since canceling I can't believe it
