I have just got back from hospital after a call back from when I went for retina screening 6 weeks ago .
It appears I have pressure on my eyes and have been prescribed drops twice a day and another appointment in 3 months for more tests . Should I be worried? Does this mean I have the start of glaucoma ? Any advice

hi, raised pressure in the eye can be a sign of glaucoma, but it can be a sign of many things, one being stress ,now is the time to rest and chill out . but its Christmas and one of the most stressful times, so use the drops at regular times every 4 or 6 hours so that the eye gets a regular dosage this reduces the swelling and allows the eye to drain correctly ,stop worrying, your in good hands, if you do get any discomfort most a/e and walk in clinics will see you . let us know how it goes best wishes

Thanks Christine got your reply I am just feelings bit worried about it . We are having a very quiet Christmas this year as family not coming over ( we live in Spain ) so will make the most of it. Merry Christmas to you and yours

hi connie ,I hope you soon feel better I would love to live in Spain too, my family don't live near me either but they are all in work so I don't grumble to them ,its lonely though .

Speaking for myself, I have to take two types of eye-drops on a daily basis several times a day to preserve what little still remains of my sight. I have 'Glucoma' amongst several other eye problems, so if you have been prescribed eye-drops then please do use them.
I had tremendous difficulty in getting the drops accurately into each eye until I found a device known as the 'Autodrop' which the eye-drop bottle is attached to and then placed over each eye in turn. The bottle is squeezed until the drop falls.
I can now get 100% accuracy in getting the eye-drops on target.
Hope this is of some use.

Thanks lazybones I managed to put the drops in this morning and my eyes went blurry for a couple of minutes then ok . The bottle is very small though so they are not easy to apply.
