I've had them before but over the last few weeks or so they have increased in frequency!
Went to the optician and they didnt notice any bleeds or anything. Also had my screening in December and no treatment needed. My hb1ac was also 42/ one before that was 50.
Bit worried as ive read a lot on retinopathy increasing when hb1ac drops quickly! Any advice would be much appreciated
Eye floaters are usually benign things that more often than not are harmless and can just disappear as quickly as they appeared. Many people have them, especially as we grow older. In the vast majority of cases they are nothing to do with diabetes. They just happen, reasons unknown. http://www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk/encyclopaedia/f/article/floaters/
I wouldn't worry. I've had them too and my eyes are always perfect when I go for exams. Your drop in a1c isn't significant enough to cause damage most likely. The people who have problems are those who have been running crazy high a1cs for years, and then drop too quickly in a short period of time.
