Just got out the bath & felt a really sharpe pain in left eye, now all blood shot. Blood sugar is 4.8. Is this the start of diabetic related eye problems or am I over reacting?

No, haven't accident splashed anything in my eye. Just a very sudden intense pain, when looked in the mirror I saw it was all blood shot / lines across eye. Don't think I've got a foreign body in there but now made it really sore now from prodding & poking. Think the best thing for me to do is chill out & go to bed!
ring nhs 24/7..as long as it's just the whites of the eye ball, they may say it's ok?.., if you had a bleed in the ball, you may see floaters and blobs, it would be a good idea to get to an optometrist tomorrow or A&E tonight if you think it's needed http://www.diabeticretinopathy.org.uk/
