134 equates to 7.5mmol/l while not hugely high, it's perhaps a little higher than most of us would like. However, FBG is the one test that is notoriously difficult to control, due to Dawn phenomenon. DP is caused due to our livers dumping glucose into the blood stream as we begin to wake up, to prepare us for the burst of energy after sleeping. It happens so we have enough energy to keep us going until we break-fast. If you were to test a wee while after being up and about, and before eating, you will see it will likely go down to better levels. I found I could only really control FBG with a low carb diet, and not eating after a certain time at night. I very rarely test FBG now, as I know what is is likely to be, and also because it is difficult to control, for me, it's just an exercise for anxiety on the odd occasion it's been a little higher than I would like.
