Can I ask something ? Are all you people with great readings using medication. Anything below 9 is cause for celebration with me at present. I am diet controlled and trying to reduce it. ( 2hrs after meals pretty much always below 8 )
I am eating pretty well and low carb about 1 to 1 1/2 st overweight. Seeing specialist again in 4 weeks.
I guess what I'm hoping to hear is you are all on meds and there is hope for me to fix it over time. Bit needy huh

I am on metformin but that is not what is causing good readings. Low carb at 20ish grams per day. My A1c came down from 10.4 to 5.8 in less than 6 months. I have lost 30 pounds. My daily numbers reflect what I eat.

I am diet controlled. My fasting BG has been in the low to mid 5s since I started testing in April 2014, not that long after diagnosis. I've never had a problem with it. As @chalup says, my daily numbers reflect what I eat, which is low carb with high fat.

Diet is the key to control.
