Many times I have tried to start a fast and have bailed before 24 hours due to
1. feeling lousy with falling blood sugar at 75 and below.
2. overfeeding the event due to the hunger hormone at hypoglycemia.
It is difficult to begin reducing the amount of insulin, as I am insulin dependent, or metformin while using the very low carb diet. I would appreciate a "plan" of attack.

As I understand it ketones above a certain level increase insulin resistance, making dosing more difficult.
Now that low carb diets are accepted by NHS, would discussing that option instead of fasting be something to discuss with DSN or dietician ?
