I am t2 and have "nonalcoholic fatty liver", I was diagnosed with it about two years before the T2, and was told that it could be a contributory factor in my T2. I have to admit I did not take the fatty liver thing to seriously and carried on as normal, ish, but since being diagnosed T2 I have changed diet, and increased exercise, I have dropped over 1 1/2 stone from 16 1/2 to just under 15 and still losing.
I found out I had a fatty liver in a private scan and now have just been diagnosed with T2. Have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to get help and info. My Doctor's surgery say they are overwhelmed with people being newly diagnosed and are dinding it hard to cope!
Greetings PPl,
when my GP told me I had FLD ( about 10 month's ago ) she said it was just one of those things that diabetics get, how true that is, I've no idea. I might point out that I have been, until comparatively recently, a heavy drinker for 40 years
