It's been a long time since I posted here. I have been doing quite well with HbA1c's below 6 for the last three visits (each 3 months apart). As a result, I've been very negligent in testing - maybe only once a week or even less, but each time the numbers were below 7.0, so I thought I was doing pretty good. Today, I decided to make some lemon blueberry muffins - intending to eat only one (ha ha), but of course had two and now If feel terrible. 10.1 about a half hour after eating them, then 9.8 2 hours after that - I didn't test before. Awful headache and can't seem to keep my eyes open. After first being diagnosed about 18 months ago, I improved my diet (though counting carbs I find confusing so I just cut down or if possible cut out those things that I know are high in carbs) and did lose 10 pounds though in the past two months they have miraculously re-appeared. know the importance of testing but need some tips and encouragement to get back on track with that. Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to deal with the dizziness and headache I am now experiencing I would appreciate that.
