Hey how are you? Look being diabetic is ****, I love the new diabetes awareness ad we have in the UK, "its doing everything right and it still goes wrong" I'm going to be honest, I've had it for 30 years and I have eye complications that have floored me for 4 years BUT there are so many treatments now, if I'd had access to these 30 years ago I'm pretty sure I'd be better off now - you're right at the beginning and have access to all these great resources! Eat low carb it really help with the spikes and means you'll store less fat from the food you eat, never compromise your insulin intake, get out and walk your ass off, take some lucozade or glucose tablets and commit to 30 mins a day! Your life is not over believe me, I have 3 very healthy teenagers, still drive, have a great job! Always make your employer aware of your condition, you're protected and will have certain allowances made re meal breaks appointments etc.
I'm still waiting on a cure lol, but we've got this condition, it's not going away but it's not going to stop me being what I want, you get to choose now, it's perfectly possible to be fit and healthy, I weight trained and did stron woman comps!
You've got this and I really hope you adjust or maybe already have from the date of this post, hope this can help anyone struggling cos it is blummin hard! X
