Hi, I'm feeling a little giddy, hot on my head, cold on my hands, heart rate up a bit and quite sickly. Bg level down to 5.6. Not had such a low reading since I started LCHF. Has something gone wrong to make me feel this way?

Firstly, well done on your improvement since following LCHF lifestyle. You are probably experiencing a "false hypo". Basically, because you have been used to high numbers, you are getting some hypo symptoms as you haven't been this low for a while. Stick with it, as your body gets used to these good BG levels, the hypo symptoms should diminish.

Thanks dannyw, so I just go with it and don't feed it to make me feel better. Im having some ice cold water (my fave tipple), might go take a shower and wash my hair so im not sitting thinking about how rubbish I feel

Yes, just go with it. You aren't having a proper hypo so no need to feed it. In fact, that is the worst thing you could do. Have water and some salt.

Hi Muggie.
Dont worry that happened to me when my BS went down at first,
I used to eat dried fruit ,but I was wrong for feeding it.When I got a meter I relised .
Sometimes it seems we cant win,but it will pass.

Thanks Patricia, im starting to feel a little better. I took bluetit a advice and took a little salt and drank a bottle of water. Since it happened bang on tea time I have missed my meal. When will be a good time to eat or should I abstain until breakfast? It's past my usual 6pm cut off but I am quite hungry since my last meal was approx midday

Eat for goodness sake! If it is your normal meal time and you are hungry, eat your normal food.

The "don't feed it" was aimed at a between meal jitter, not a pre-meal jitter!
