My lovely daughter has decided to pass on her cold and sore throat to me am type 2 diagnosed end of June this year and as title says feeling like ****, cold tired, achy everywhere esp my back and ribs, can having the cold with diabetes affect me like this or could it be something else?
 
Sounds like the typical symptoms of a viral illness and not relevant to your diabetes except that your control may be a little off while you are unwell
 
Illness often raises BG.
I find high BG seems to emphasise any pain or illness. It may be a sore shoulder from climbing or a runny nose from a cold. If my BG is high, the symptoms feel worse.
So, just like when you are well, the aim is to keep your BG under control.
