Hi all,
Diagnosed two and a bit months ago with a HBAC1 of 57 and thanks to all the info on this site started a LCHF diet.
Today got my latest result and it is down to 46 - yay!!
A bit of a fight to actually get my result from the GP receptionist as she just kept saying 'It is OK, but I can't tell you what it is'. After a discussion with the practice manager they eventually decided it was OK to give me a print out!
While I was there I also queried whether I should have been seen by anyone yet (diagnosed by phone and just told to 'be careful with your diet'.) They then said I needed to be seen ASAP to get dietary advice and 'get your feet checked'. So have my appointment for 2 weeks time. I have to say though I am in no particular rush as reading others experiences here I know I am probably going to ignore the dietary advice they give me anyway!!
Seem to have settled into the LCHF diet now and craving have eased. Tried a few recipes to stop me feeling deprived and have bought myself a spiralizer which is proving to be worth its weight in gold.
Feeling pleased with how things are going so far and just wanted to share.
