Today is day 4, I really want to eat toast! I have headache and feel sick. I can't face bacon and have an intolerance to eggs. Had a small piece if cheese which has not helped. There is nothing I want to eat other than toast!!!
Anyone else felt like this?
Bloods have been normal, On waking 5. 2 hrs after eating 4.5 - 5.

Tell me about it, my wife makes toast all the year around which fills the house with that well known aroma. You will get over these pangs, after all carbohydrates are ADDICTIVE. Be strong, do something to distract your attention.

Can you eat sausages, brie cheese, cottage cheese, spinach, mushrooms, nuts ? Are you eating enough ? Getting enough fats to replace the energy source previously supplied by the carbohydrates ?

Conquering the carbs is a bit like giving up cigarettes or red wine, its not easy but with determination the pangs do subside and then fade away.

Your Bp,s are really good, congratulations thats a very fine effort.

Stay strong.

Have you thought of making your own low carb bread so you can still have toast when you want it.

Not worth the bother [ lazy male ? ], I just struck it out of my life and found something else tasty. Brie cheese is my preferred substitute.

One of the ways to get over carb withdrawal is to make surw you have a variety of delicious low carb treats and snacks.

I rely on coffee, with cream too.

Make sure you are drinking plenty, especially in this hot weather.
And add salt to your food. Salt is important to add back in when low carbing.
And you can feel the difference it makes when you get enough.

Just google low carb bread. There are a lot of recipes out there. My father the almond/flax meal bread but I prefer mine just made with almond meal. I also make myself low carb treats that are between 3-6 gr carbs which I like to have with my afternoon coffee so I dont feel like im missing out. I have been doing LCHF since the begining if the year and Ive suffered from headaches ever since but last week I started introducing salt back into my diet and taking magnesium supplements and it seems to have fixed the problem.
