Feeling so down

I'm really sorry about what you are going through. How are you feeling now? I hope things have improved a bit.

What types of food are you eating? Are you getting foods rich in vitamins and minerals into you? Are you trying to get some exercise in daily which can improve your mood? With sleep, if you try and avoid sleeping during the day even if you are so tired, you may find it helpful to sleep better at night time as you will be more exhausted by then.

Keep us posted.

Really sorry to hear all this. Neuropathy can be hell. Not knowing when the pain will strike, and burning at night. I used to suffer after diagnosis when the numbness subsided and left behind crippling pain like someone sticking a dagger in the sole of my feet.

BUT...try to stay positive. I know they say that neuropathy is permanent, but speaking only from my own experience, it isn’t. I’ve had my blood glucose under extremely tight control for over a year now, and my neuropathy pain has pretty much completely vanished. My feet feel amazing. The body can repair itself if you give it the right tools that it needs to do the job - those being - proper nutrition, no pro inflammatory substances, and time. It worked for me and I hope it works for you.

Best of luck, and don’t bottle it up. Keep sharing with us

Thanks for your input. I can say that i feel way better now, since i finally found the painkiller that works! Dihydrocodeine. I take 2x30 mg per night and sleep like a baby! Well, about my meals? Honestly,i do not do any diet. I am skinny even now so i really need calories and once i have to inject insulin, why would i like not to eat what i really like? I could not eat most of the healthier foods since they are really out of my interest. However,i am trying to insert more and more fruits and vegetables in my meals. It is a long journey and i know that i have several things to improve. I am still struggling to accept that i became sick. I was healthy for 37 years and this is really hard to accept.

Guys, let me say thanks for all you that took time and kindness and gave me some supporting words. You are all fantastic people. I am having much better days now by taking sihydrocodeine instead of naproxin and amitriptyline. I can sleep almost properly. This helps me to be more active at work, and alongside to care more about good BG. All the best for everyone, cheers!
