I sometimes get hot itchy feet, usually when I have been naughty and pigged out on too many sweet things No more chocolate, no more cakes :cry:

You could try getting into a routine of gently washing your feet before you go to bed, dry them carefully and use a good foot cream (E45 foot cream or Boots own brand are good) working from your heels towards your toes massage the cream into your feet using a circular motion, making sure you don't get the cream between your toes. Doing this daily keeps your feet in good order and keeps the cracks at bay and putting the cream on at night ensures your feet get a good chance to 'drink' it all in.

It is also about keeping your BG levels down and not eating lots of sweet or starchy foods; lots of fresh veg and salad bits are good as is fruit in moderation.

It is good that you are interested enough to find all these things out and being careful with what you eat will ensure that you keep yourself healthy for the future!

my feet are like ice boxes all the time. they usually so cold they hurt! n if i sit still for a bit then get up, they are all still and hurt!

am not diagnosed as diabetic but am apparently prediabetic! going for bloods next week!

My podiatrist suggested slathering Vaseline over m feet at bedtime and wrapping in clingfilm for the night. paying particular attention to the skin around the nails. It works!, However, I found the clingfilm very unpleasant so I don't do it often

I bought a pair of cotton socks specifically for bedtime with my feet nicely cleaned and creamed and it works a treat....dont like the sound of the clingfilm though

Me too, and my skin reacts better to things like cotton than plastic-like stuff.
