Female post! Period issues, anyone else had this?

Iv had type one diabetes since July 2017 since then iv only had my menstrual 3 times which was normal. Iv never been like clockwork and I have missed a few months before. However for the passed 3 weeks iv been bleeding everyday (iv never had this before) iv always been 5days. It’s not heavy but the blood is bright red. I have an appointment to see the nurse on Monday but was wondering if any other females have had the same issue and can put my mind at rest? As iv been worrying and thinking all sorts. Thanks, it’s probably not related to diabetes but as this has only happened once and since being diagnosed I wernt sure if sometimes your periods get messed up. My sugars are fairly under control throughout this. Thanks again
