Hi I've been a diabetic (type 2) now for over 25 years on gliclazide (80mg) 1 a day and Metformin (sr) 750mg twice a day.
I want to reduce my Metformin gradually ...I know if I don't take them sugars will go high....I want to know what fibre supplements and what strength are good to take , hopefully.....if I can increase my fibre intake I can keep my blood sugars on a good level...I do eat pretty healthy but now and again as we all do.....eat unhealthy too.....just had enough of Metformin....can anyone advise on fiber please.
I prefer to get fibre from foods rather than a supplement, as many supplements have artificial sweetners and flavourings, which can cause me problems with allergies. So sorry if this is not what you are asking for, but some folks could find this info of use.
