Well done on the pump!
S got her pump at the beginning of March. I too was concerned about nights and bought a belt from diabete-ezy (from Australia) as that sits really close to the body and doesn't have any buckles etc. I also bought a spibelt (from America) and she tended to wear that in the day. Within a week or so she just wore the spibelt day and night. She says it is more comfortable, but I can't see how lying on a buckle can be. We have the accu chek combo so I never even touch the pump except to check it over once a day: maybe she forgets about it if she doesn't have to change the belt? Anyway, I thoroughly recommend the spibelt; there is someone on another forum who has started making pump belts for children and they look really good too, with a clear plastic window if you need to access the pump to bolus. Funky pumpers, maybe?
It's amazing - I spent a long time worrying about S having something permanently attached to her, but now don't even notice. I forgot to take the old cannula out yesterday morning - only realised when I caught her jumping from a wall today and saw a dangling end of cannula not attached to anything....The pump is now just a part of her as glasses would be.
