First HbA1c since diagnosis

Just got the result of my first HbA1c test after diagnosis.
47mmol/mol (6.5% in old money)

Quite chuffed with myself.

Now for all the christmas carbs...

Thanks Doc.
I'm especially pleased becauss there was no honeymoon period. I had severe pancreatitis which has left me with no pancreas at all. I went from insulin producing to no insulin production in about 24 hours and straight onto a sliding scale in hosp.
