First insulin today

I'm staying on 10 units for the weekend, then my diabetic nurse will call me again on Monday and I will probably go up to 12 units
 
My regime has been to increase by 2 units every four days until I get under 7 with my morning test. Am up to 20 units now and was 7.2 this morning.

Yes thank you. Feeling better than I have for the best part of 2 years. 6.2 this morning
 
6.6 this morning. Still peaking after meals during the day but 20 units of Lantus seems to be working well as a base dose.
 
No, but I've read reviews where people get them a lot :-( Im on 14 units now.....but my before breakfast is still 12:-(
 
I am on 22 units and seem to be quite settled at that, I was 6.2 this morning. I am attending a carb counting course on 10th March and after that will be adding rapid action insulin to my regime. That will require adjusting my Lantus downwards and injecting rapid action at mealtimes, meaning four injections a day. Worth it though for better control. I feel so much better on just the lantus.
 
Thats good news.... aren't you on any other medication? Im on Gliclazide and metformin :-(
 
Yes metformin twice a day & gliclazide one in the morning.
