hey guys just a quick question.. Not actually diabetes related but I'm hoping someone can help me out.. For a couple of weeks ive had a quite bad pain in the top of my foot i went to see a gp on Monday and he diagnosed it as inflamed tendons and gave me anti inflammatorys ive taken them as much as i was told since Monday afternoon with no improvement leading me to think it could be something else.. Has anyone else had anything like this? Normally i would just trust the docs judgement but with no imrovement its worrying me as i work as a football coach and my ability to earn money depends on my ability to run and kick a ball haha thanks in advance

Patience is required with a foot injury, I fell and snapped a tendon in my ankle about 2 months ago, still in a lot of pain when I walk and the consultant reckons it could take about a year to come right.
Tendons are notoriously slow to heal.
They don't have much of a blood supply, so they don't get many nutrients delivered to repair the damage.
When I damaged a tendon I was told that 6 weeks was a fair healing time. Although obviously that's going to vary depending on the person and the injury.
But I would certainly be expecting weeks, rather than days.
Hopefully it won't take that long!
