Why not use up the test strips before you use the new meter? After all your commissioning group has paid for them for your use.
 

That's a nice thing to do, thinking of others who may not have enough strips for their meter, a big thumbs up. from me RRB

Because there are a lot of members on here who have to pay for their test strips.

They are surplus & will only get binned if I return them to the pharmacy.

The new meter........was this given you by a hospital dsn or a GP nurse? If it was a DSN, then make sure yr GP will prescribe the new teststrips be fore you give yr old ones away. Also, as nice as it is for you to think of others, teststrips cost CCGs a lot of money so it might be better for you to use them up first before using another meter.
 
Given by GP Nurse, prescription for new strips given.

That's a very kind offer. Those are the strips I use. I would accept the offer but I live in Montreal, Canada and the expiry date of the strips should be taken into consideration. So, if I am not right for them, maybe someone else is?
Thank you anyway and let me know if you can mail them from where you live.
