I’ve been using Dexcom g6, but from what I can remember libre 2 has no seal of the type you desribe. I used to always have the applicator on a level surface (table) and twist both the top and the bottom in opposite directions. It does take some force… and i was, because i had it on a table, probably also pushing down on the top (but I can’t recall well enough to be sure sorry). The positive thing is that they’re hard to damage but that’s not much consolation if you can’t twist it open

Wrapping one thick rubber band around the top half and one around the bottom half helps a bit as it gives you a grip. I'm not sure the knife will work. I'm stressed every time trying to open it. I agree it is a joke, particularly as the company must have an incredibly lucrative contract supplying the entire nhs.

That is strange. I have been using Libre for 4 years and never had a stuck cap.
I wonder what makes it stick so firmly for you.
