Hi guys.

I have not used a Freestyle Libre since 2016 due to the price of them, and the fact that I need bandages when I wore them. I got news from the hospital today saying that I am eligible for funding. I have to go to training sessions 2 weeks apart from each other, with one day off school.
I get my first lot of training on the 4th, but I don't think I will get sensors. (Guess)
On the 18th, after my second Libre training I get 3 months worth of sensors.

Well, guess who's buying even more bandages for these darn slippery things LOL.
On the plus side, I am much more safer. If I need to check my sugar in my taxi or something, I could just do that no problem

Hi,

I'll tag in @Mel dCP & @Scott-C who may well have some tips on bonding this device to your personage...

@Mel dCP can hold onto her's in a "mosh pit," that's no mean feat! (I can barely keep my footing on occaisions.)

Hope this helps.

Evening! I don’t like sticking things over the top of my Libre/MiaoMiao combo, so I wear it on my upper chest rather than my arm. A good coating of Skin Tac before I apply them keeps them on with no need for anything over them. On my arm, I’d have to use rock tape for the last few days. And yes, it’s survived some enthusiastic “dancing” in the front tow of a gig two nights on the trot.

@Jaylee - I don’t fall over because I wear New Rock Reactor boots

I just had a look on the Australian site at those boots, these are pretty coloured at $480.00, nice beetle crushers tho' but will give you a firm grip on Queensland...

For Vegan man...

I gotta take one day off school to go to training and need to get up early to ensure I get to training on time, even though I have to walk to hospital from the bus station. Such a shame the relief service doesn't take you there directly. The first training is on the 4th, I have nothing to worry about as it is a P.D. Day at my school. The second one the term is just over a week in. At least they didn't do a training on the first day, my headteacher would think it's disrespectful not to show up on the first day.

I probably still need a February appointment, that I must also get up early for to get the bus and walk to hospital, it's just a normal diabetes checkup. I'll be thanking my doctor for helping out. #ThanksDoctor

Mine are like the boots in your pic only with real leather and purple flames. I’ve had them for about 18 years now - expensive to buy but really well made and lost forever. Also, they make me 6’2 tall hehehe.

Looking after your personal health is not being disrespectful to the school, the teacher etc.

As the old saying states, "Look after number one".
