Freestyle Libre issues.

Hi

Just wondering if anyone else has started having issues with the freestyle libre. Mine has worked great since March but lately it's been playing up....the sensor I have put on last night is just continuously reading 3.2, 3.4 etc and my blood glucose is 5, 6 and 7..... I'm ready to give up with the libre. Anyone else experienced a sensor reading that is totally wrong??
 
Luckily I have not had a dud one recently, but if you call Abbott they'll replace it free of charge.

May be worth giving it another day or so - there are common complaints about it reading low for the first 24 hours or so.
 
Im still waiting for a replacement for my last faulty one it's been in transit since August 31st!! Despite several phone calls its yet to turn up !

Thanks, mine have read low for an hour or so before after first applying!! I'll try and be patient till this evening and see if it works
 
Many of us have found that the first 24 hours are unreliable so apply the sensor early to give the inflammation a chance to subside.
 
Thanks. Good to know that. I will leave it longer then . Mine previously have been ok after an hour or so ! Thanks for replying
 

Firstly, I'm assuming you've done finger prick tests to ascertain your bloods weren't around those readings?

One thing I found last time I called about a wayward sensor was they wanted the validation finger prick tests done on the inbuilt meter in the reader. To be fair, they did send me a small box of strips to use for that purpose. They arrived next day, then there was no question of not replacing the sensor.

If you apply the sensor but don't scan it until the next day is it still reliable for the full 14 days??
I always forget my sensor is running out and then have to wait to put the new one on when I get home so it would fix that for me too
 
I've not found it any less reliable....
 
So it worked for an hour or so but is now back to reading too low so annoying!! It's been 24 hours since application
