Freestyle Libre problems

Hi
When the sensors work they are really good for my control but over the past few months I have had to return 3 sensors because they fell off my arm whilst showering after swimming. I’ve covered the sensor with Opsite & got in a pickle as I couldn’t remove the Opsite without pulling the sensor off to
.
After waiting 3 weeks for replacement sensors, the cannula falls off the sensor before I get it anywhere near my arm. Anybody else having these problems or am I just lucky? Rant over

I've had dodgy adhesive on a few of mine, coincidentally on the one I inserted earlier today, but I've never had one fall off. As I'm not a swimmer or anything of the sort, I just use standard plaster to cover the side that's a bit loose and so far it's worked a treat.

Why would you want to remove it before your sensor has ended? I always use a 10x10 patch of tegaderm over my sensors and just leave it there for 2 weeks. If the edges come loose I cut a bit, leaving the middle and put a new patch over the rest.

Never had any issues with mine
but If I find they're starting to peel/come loose I secure them with some tegaderm plasters and that seems to do the trick.

I have only had two sensors, and no issue so far (touch wood -scratches head).

I have had fun trying to get them off , they seem welded on. Maybe the alcohol swab they provide manages to prepare my skin better than others.

As an alternative to adhesive tape, I have seen some elastic and a holder for the sensor. A Freestyle Guardian, They are like the elastic arm band holder they use for iPods/iPhones runners use

I make sure to keep my skin exfoliated (I use a sea salt and olive oil scrub that I mix myself), and then use a skin-tac wipe after the alcohol wipe and before applying the sensor. I’ve not even had edges peel up doing this.
