This started in General discussion but was moved to Type I Diabetes.

This device quite clearly benefits Type II Diabetics as well, maybe to a lesser extent, but just in case anyone doesn't go onto the Type I Diabetes forum like me, here is something about the Freestyle Libre Starter Pack.

I see that the sensors for this have been discussed on the general discussion forum quite recently, but I've just heard that the starter pack, reader and sensors, have started shipping again but only to those who have expressed an interest and there also seems to be a first come first served thing going on. So, if you expressed an interest last October, you could be lucky. I vacillated for too long and didn't register until last month. Anyone else heard anything?

I have signed up this back in February
No emails yet :¬(

I phone them up last Friday they said it will become available this month
I doubt it though :¬(

I don't even need the starter pack I would happily pay for them separate :¬)

Dear madusmacus
I have only just got the Freestyle Libre Pack and I registered on their website in October 2014. The replacement sensors are not cheap . In fact they are £150 for 3 sensors. Your best bet is to go to a clinic where they can buy some for you . My NHS doctor though had never even heard of the Freestyle Libre glucose monitoring system . The sensors are not completely infallible though, as they come off when they are really wet. A bit of a problem when you are an active swimmer like me . Anna
