hi guys:
Any 1 on freestyle libra?my daughter been using it since last may, everything was perfect till yesterday.we put a new sensor after the worm up it was 100 point less than the bg Meter reading.is that normal? It's been 12 hrs now and still a lot of difference!so any recommendations?

Phone customer services who ask a lot of questions but will replace a faulty sensor for free. I find the Libre inaccurate when compared to a conventional meter but it does indicate spikes. Since your daughter is a type 1 you shouldn't rely solely on the Libre.

It might be the sensor, it might be that you just hit a bad spot in her arm, either way try to get a replacement sensor.

They sometimes take a day or so to settle. If it's still well out after that Abbott are usually quite good at replacing them. When you phone the helpline, they usually prefer it if you test a scan against a blood reading from the inbuilt meter on the reader, so try getting some Freestyle Optium strips. I've often found that there can be quite a big diference between my OneTouch meter and the Libre meter, and the latter is usually close to the scan ,which raises a whole lot of questions about which of the two meters to trust!
