Freestyle libre2

Great. I've been using it for years.
I recommend using the Search function of this forum (top right of the page) and checking out the many threads on this topic.

I've got this sensor can anyone who has this tell me how you get on with it please

Hi,

All good in my department.

What do you wanna know..?

@Jaylee hi Jay not wishing to derail but was wondering before you had a cgm did you have to finger prick before and after every meal as having found out that ckd invalidates HbA1c tests and most simiilat tests the only way I can moniter my diabetes is by something like 7 point SMBG and that will mean a lot of finger pricking unless I self fund Libre indefinately.

Hi,

I remember a mention about CKD possibly throwing A1cs on another topic..? Apreciate your concern.

From my experience over the last few years.
Finger pricking? I logged my tests (still do.) on an app called "diabetes connect?" To be fair my estimated A1c from the app was 15% higher than what came back from the lab? Oddly, when I got a chance to compare against a nurse's NHS calibrated issue monitor on a few occaisions it was 15% higher too.. (Aprox.) the Libre pretty much ties in with the meter & it's estimation in the Librelink app?

I hope that helps..

Actually, I'd recommend going to YouTube for this topic. There's a lot of active Diabetics there, who demonstrate how to apply sensors. When I was applying my first, there were some things I couldn't quite get my head around until I'd seen it.
