Hi LittleWolf,
I smiled at your reference to my cats eyes. He lost an eye when he was quite young, not lost as in missing, lost as in hit in the eye by a brick. (I wish I had found out who done it). This turned his blind eye bright blue, even in the dark you would see one greenish and one blue eye walking towards you! He was also run over by a bus and on a different occasion by a car. These two accidents left him with claws that stayed out all the time, we used to find him with his claws stuck in the carpet waiting for someone to help him. Also, his teeth stuck down over his bottom lip like a vampire. You can imagine the effect he had on children! Some kids loved him, where we once lived there was a small grassy area between the houses, like a small village green. The local children would knock at the house and ask if the cat could come out to play, he always went with them and they would make a 'house' out of coats and then dress sundi up in dolls clothes! He loved it.

I miss that cat so much. I can still feel him laying on my chest as I tried to read in bed, he would jam his head under my chin and purr so loudly, he would then dig his claws into my chest! OWW! I would put up with the claws for as long as I could and then take his paws in my hands to stop him digging in.

If someone wants to start a pet thread I would love that. I would show some more pictures of Sundi drinking my orange juice out of a pint glass and licking the chocolate from a Malteser. What you did with the goey mess afterwards was up to you, he'd had his choccy.

Lovely quiet night. - unexpected. Something broke down in the next village, in exactly the wrong place, so the police have closed the road. None of my private pupils can get through!

Picked three massive bunches of roses from the garden and I'm sitting down to watch the second DVD of the evening. "Quartet". Anyone seen that? It's excellent! Exactly as I would imagine my friends and I would be when we're older!

( first DVD was a little less thoughtful, - Thor, - pure eye candy! )

Quartet is excellent. It's a gentle film about a retirement home full of ex musicians. Maggie Smith is in it. It's also full of real retired musicians and opera singers. It was nice to see that a few of my old college professors are still toddling around.

I love roses. Dad bought me forty David Austen rose bushes for my 40th.

What lovely memoirs of your kitty, despite the amount the poor dear was knocked about :0 I know a lot of cats can be aloof and generally disinterested in people, but I know one's like yours and mine are as close to you, and you to then as any dog.

Now, I went for another wander in London today.
