I think you might like this thread: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/th...g-blood-glucose-full-on-chat.163627/page-3422Thank you so much and I'm hoping to make some friends on here cause I feel like having a friend group that understands would benefit everyone. My hope is to be able to chat and just be regular friends that don't need to talk about diabetes all the time, but just understand inherently. But also support each other through difficult times.
I was just recently diagnosed and realized that his forum truly helps you not to feel so alone in this. I don't have many friends to begin with and none with diabetes. Just simply talking on here helped me not to feel so alone. I was wondering if anyone else felt similarly and wanted to try to be friends and support each other during this difficult time. I know that even one person would help.
I don't have friends (happily so), though there are people I cross paths with and we exchange shallow conversation. I was lost about diabetes before I landed on this website and find the moral support and information learned from the members invaluable. Thanks to them, I gained the necessary knowledge and my blood glucose is nearly always in range. I log-on here almost everyday to enjoy the read-around.I was just recently diagnosed and realized that his forum truly helps you not to feel so alone in this. It's in the general chat section of the forum, were things other than diabetes can be talked about.
I'm finding that out myself, everyone on here is so supportive and helpful. It really helped calmed my feelings of being alone and I'm forever grateful to everyone. It's difficult but I feel like I can do it slowly with the proper support group. The people on here have become my support Tribe, and I do what I can to support them in turn.
Everything I've learned about diabetes, and living with it, I've learned from here and the links from here to good info out there
