Evening, I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year, I'm sure it's already been done, but not from me. I have to say 2013 has been the worst year for me as far back as I can remember, but I wanted to say a huge thank you for those who have taken the time to answer my posts and give me advice. But, it's just more than advice on here isn't it? I feel that people genuinly care about the welfare of those who, like them, are db - a few days gone by without a look in and I feel withdrawal. Is it me? but when you have db those around you keep a distance, don't understand what db is - I feel a great companionship here, indeed I do.

For all those I may have offended through 2013 on this site, I just wanted to say I couldn't give a ****** .. joking and on the point of jokes I'm sorry for the rubbish one liners I come out with, nothing is likely to change in 2014, sorry.

For me, it's a night in my room upstairs with my dog watching the telly, I hope that whatever you do in 2014, you're healthy but above all; happy & with purpose.

Andy, My sincere wishes go to you and your family. But who the F is Percy Jackson?? is he a member on here? never seen him. Qx

Happy New Year Q and all my dear friends on here. What the hell would I do without you?

It's 8.10 am on January 1st here. We had our New Year and a **** good one it was too. Watched Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and then Snatch, seemed exactly right too. Just me and Johnny but I must admit to being right in the spirit in more ways than one, only red wine and fizzy wine at midnight but oh dear, I do feel sleepy

It's odd to live in a strict routine then bust out now and then, it just doesn't feel right at all.

Q I love your posts and I agree, 2013 was pretty horrible but we move forward and never give up, never surrender! Back on yer heads lads and let's do it!

Have a nice night everyone, tv for me....cosy with my blanket ......I must get a dog....saw a lovely cute tiny little yorkie the other day , so cute, will make me walk more, no dog, so will just feed cats for the moment ....

Wow, Snatch, my favourite film of all time. Where (what film) did that quote come from "Never give up, Never surrender" it's killing me I just can't place the film? I know it was p*** funny, there where aliums (rugrats) in it, someone put me out of my misery.

Never give up, Never surrender is from Galaxy Quest with Tim Allen, a very silly film really but we love it. And yes, Snatch is just ace, we must have watched it dozens of times, it never gets old
 

Hi Kat, I had a yorkie, they can be quite agressive in nature, he was really cruel to my cat. He used to attack kids on a bike (so I took the bike off him) and the postman did refuse to deliver mail. I took me a year to get over it when he died and swore I'd never have another dog. Then, about ayear ago I got involved in the rescue in a Basset Hound who was an unwanted xmas present and I brought her here. She is so good in nature to all that come here and I can't imagine a day without her. So I highly suggest you look at this breed for a loving pet that is likely to get on with your cats too. downside
