I've been very very good lately and have had great BGs but all of a sudden the last two days I cannot get lower than 7-9. I have done nothing wrong food wise. I have had only one meal a day lately, chicken thighs and salad, a meal I have eaten many many times with great results.
What is going on? Am I getting a cold or something but just don't know it? HELP!! It's driving me crazy!

Lots of things do effect Bgl... sickness is one of them.... stress could also be another thing... stressing about Bgl could also contribute towards an unexplainable Bgl result. If it carries on though it may be something you want to get checked out!

yes, I would guess it is something like stress or illness. If you are brewing a virus, or tummy bug, or you are stressed at work, or excited about an upcoming event... heck it could even be girlie hormonal stuff. Even something like toothache or a gum infection might cause it.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it carries on for longer than a few days, and if it does, start having a good think about a possible cause.

Is your doc the type to listen to your concerns, or just shrug blankly and refer you to a nurse?

Stress over upcoming SATs? My BP was hugely better as soon as I started on Ramipril - 2 parents evenings and a lesson obs last week and it had crept back up on Friday

Nope, I am still remarkably calm about the looming tests! I did get an abnormal smear result and am waiting for the follow up appointment so maybe I'm more stressed about it than I thought I was. I had a sire throat on Thursday night and no voice yesterday but I feel totally fine today so maybe I have a lingering illness and no symptoms. Who knows?

Smear stress could be it. After the blood pressure and diabetes were picked up at my smear test I was convinced the smear itself would be abnormal too - but thank goodness that was the only thing ok with me!
I may be new to my T2 - but after 7 years of Al's diabetes I know one thing - the relationship between what you eat and your blood sugars is nowhere near as simple as some people on the forums make out. There are lots of *** is that reading about moments.

Sounds virus related to me too. If sore throat etc.
Drink plenty of warm low carb drinks, it should pass and bgs settle down. If not book to see dn.
Don't use ibuprofen just paracetamol. Flush virus out with liquids. Get plenty of sleep too. Take what you need.
Let us know when it passes or dns advice. Regards.
